Use the 25/5 Preset
Select a task and choose Start Focus. At the end of the work block, use the 5-minute Short Break mode; Long Break is set to 15 minutes. Preferences controls the rounds before a long break and whether the next session starts automatically.
For example, reserve one work block to draft an email or work through a small question set. During the pause, step away from the task if you want to, then decide whether another block is useful.
A Preset Cycle or a Single Countdown?
This page configures both work and break lengths. The 25-minute countdown is useful when you only need to time one activity. The Pomodoro timer guide covers planning and reviewing a complete session.
Keep 25/5 if the short blocks suit the activity, or compare the 50/10 preset for a longer work window. Neither ratio is required for every person or task.
